Design is about understanding people's needs.

Hybrid and Adaptive Structure

My design process is a hybrid, human-centered approach that is adapted to each situation. It combines the best practices of design thinking with the Double Diamond framework, while also integrating agile methods and active methodologies. This approach ensures creative, functional, and impactful solutions, always focused on meeting the real needs of users and the strategic objectives of clients.

Next, I present the stages of my process, emphasizing iterative cycles
and results analysis to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Detailing of Steps

1. Discover

Objective:

Explore the problem or opportunity by gathering information about users’ needs, stakeholders’ expectations, and the project context.

How I do this:

  • Design Thinking: Tools such as empathy maps, interviews, and market analysis to gain a deep understanding of the scenario.
  • Co-Design: I facilitate workshops with the team and stakeholders to engage everyone in exploring the problem.
  • Agile Methods: I run quick cycles of data gathering and validation.

2. Define

Objective:

Synthesize the findings and turn raw data into actionable insights, defining the core challenge.

How I do this:

  • Double Diamond Framework: I leverage both the divergence and convergence phases of the Double Diamond Framework—using the divergence phase to explore a wide range of possibilities and uncover insights, then employing the convergence phase to synthesize information and refine the core problem.
  • Personas and Journey Maps: Based on research, representations of users and their friction points during the journey are identified.
  • Active Methodologies: I promote collaborative analysis activities with the team to validate the problem.

3. Develop

Objective:

Generate innovative, tangible solutions, constantly iterating based on feedback.

How I do this:

  • Fast Prototyping: I create rapid, validated prototypes to effectively analyze ideas.
  • Co-Design: I use active methodologies to involve the team in generating ideas.
  • Continuous Iteration: I apply iterative cycles with low- and high-fidelity prototypes to test and refine solutions.
  • Agile Methods: I run short sprints to refine ideas based on user feedback
Deliver

4. Deliver

Objective:

Refine and implement the solution, ensuring it is functional, efficient, and delivered with quality.

How I do this:

  • Incremental Delivery: I use agile methods to release functional deliverables in stages, continuously validating them.
  • High-Fidelity Prototyping: I produce detailed solutions ready for use or launch.
  • Monitoring and Analysis: After delivery, I track performance metrics and collect feedback to ensure the project meets its objectives.

5. Impact Analysis

Objective:

Measure the project’s success and identify opportunities for improvement.

How I do this:

  • Metric Collection: I analyze both quantitative and qualitative data to assess the solution’s impact.
  • Personalized Reports: I provide post-project reports detailing outcomes and recommending improvements.
  • Continuous Monitoring: I offer support for future adjustments as new needs arise.

Why my process works:

  • Hybrid and Adaptable: It combines various approaches and tools, tailoring to each project's context.
  • Human-Centered: It prioritizes understanding and addressing real user needs.
  • Iterative and Agile: It allows for continuous adjustments and incremental deliveries, maximizing efficiency.
  • Results-Oriented: I track metrics and analyze data to ensure a positive impact.
  • Collaborative: It involves stakeholders and promotes co-creation at every stage.
